Many of our customers purchase EMDECS. This requires that they install or make use of a Server – which can be any computer with a Windows NT/2000/XP operating system or a LINUX OS, as EMDECS runs in either environment. You’ll also need a LAN or WAN to connect all your users to the system. Since EMDECS is WEB-enabled, users can be connected over the Internet and still have full access to the system. You’ll need to add laser printers, and bar-coding scanners and printers, if you have elected to use barcoding. Finally, you’ll need to have a backup procedure, to ensure that you don’t lose your data in the event of a power failure, hard-disk error, or other calamity.

Purchase pricing is based on the number of modules, facilities equipment units (trailers are counted as ¼ of a unit), and number of users. Annual Maintenance is 20% of the software price. It provides hotline support, ‘bug-fixes’, and standard software updates.

What if you don’t want the responsibility of managing your own system? Perfit Computer Systems also offers an identical software suite, running on our powerful servers. We provide hardware performance tuning, system and application software updates, and data backups. Our servers are located in a bullet-proof banking facility with multiple, high-speed data lines. Data transactions are ‘mirrored’ or written twice of different disk arrays. Every four hours the data is automatically backed up to tape, and the tapes are stored in another remote site. Your access is as above, and performance is the same or better.

This reduces your up-front cost and allows you to run your operation with little or no full-time IT support.
