Some can, yes. Reports in EMDECS are generated as PDF documents that are displayed on the screen. That is often enough for a snapshot of information and these on-screen PDF reports can saved to a computer drive. Further to that, it is a normal practice in general to convert PDF files to text or spreadsheet files using PDF conversion software that is readily available online. This need arises most often with financial related reports – cost per mile, profit & loss – as the figures can be compared against other business operating information and a spreadsheet is often the best format to use for this. For this, many of the EMDECS reports can be generated as spreadsheet files directly from the EMDECS system. More reports are gaining this feature as time progresses – be sure to talk to your EMDECS representative about the reports that are currently available as an exported spreadsheet file.
