EMDECS does not limit the number of customers or customer equipment records that can be added to the system. Once EMDECS is up and running for you, we don’t want you slowed down or hampered by limitations wherever possible. There is no gain in imposing a limit to the number of equipment records that you can store in the system as our storage capabilities are more than robust enough to accommodate these records.
Currently, we store more than 750,000 customer equipment records. Furthermore, records in EMDECS are not deleted, merely marked ‘inactive’, so historical records for older units can always be researched. Data accumulated in EMDECS during the life of the unit can be used for future maintenance analytics. Records can easily be marked ‘active’ again if necessary, ensuring that you can always represent in EMDECS the volume of actual units serviced in your shop – no equipment record limitations.
