Although Tech RO can capture a service technician’s work in real time, a small amount of time is recommended to review the contents of the RO and ensure that all is in order before handing the document to a valuable customer. For this, EMDECS contains screens called Complete RO – screens that allow a manager to review invoices, make changes if necessary or even electronically return the RO back to the technician in Tech RO if something needs updating. Only after the manager is satisfied that the maintenance activities, parts used and technician’s efforts are properly reflected should the invoice be printed and given to a customer.
