Tire Management
The tire maintenance process is probably the most important component of a tire management system.The EMDECS Tire Management Program gives you the detailed information you need to know exactly what is going on with your tires, and will show you exactly where and why your money is being spent.
This module is designed for tracking, analyzing and forecasting tire costs. Each tire is tracked in detail from “cradle to grave” will all historical information about its cost (initial and proportionate tread depth), mount units and positions, tread depth, tire condition and the associated readings, such as mileage, engine hour and so on. It can be used with pre-stamped tire serial number labels or with internal system generated serial numbers.
The Tire Module is fully integrated with purchasing, tire inventory, repair order, sale, disposal and recaps. The system can also be used to forecast tire replacement schedule and costs for the fleet based on the historical trend of usage.
Tire Location Codes
This is used to define the codes used for the different tire positions on a unit. These codes will be used later on to configure the unit with the exact number of tires and positions.
Tire Brand, Size and Design
This function is used to pre-define all tire specifications including the direct link to the item master for inventory tracking.
Tire Configuration
This function is used to define the codes that can be assigned to a unit. The system will use these code sin the equipment record to display the tire diagram and for the user to dismount and mount tires from the tire inventory. It is designed to handle up to a maximum of 6 axles. ‘Select’ buttons o are used to create this configuration very easily & quickly.
Tire Condition
This function is used to define the list of condition codes that can be used when updating or dismounting the tires.
Tire Dismount Reasons
This function is used to setup the list of reasons that can be used when a tire is being dismounted from a unit.
Initialize Tires Onto Units
This function is used to start up the tire module with the initial set of tires that come with the unit or when the tire module is first implemented.
Update Equipment Tires
This button-driven screen is used to update, dismount and mount tire in each of the position. It is integrated with the work order screen of the fleet maintenance module or the check-in and check-out screen of the rental module.
Dismount Tire
Click the ‘Dismount’ button to remove a tire from it’s current position. Depending on the ‘Tire Disposition” the tire may be returned to inventory for stock or for recap.
The “Finalize/Mount” button will dismount and bring up the tire mount screen to select another tire from inventory.
Mount Tire
The “Mount” button will bring up the list of tires from inventory. The Search screen allows search by any of the displayed column; for example, 11R22.5 will list all tires of this size only.
After a tire is selected it will replace that position with this tire and if this is integrated with a work order, the dismounted tires will be credited and the newly mounted tires will be charged to the unit.
The Tire history button can be used to display the audit trail of the highlighted tire serial number including where and when it was purchased, tread depth changes, mounted to which unit, added to inventory from dismount or after a recap.
The Location history button can be used to display what tires have ever been put on that position and when.
Tire Physical Count
The “Generate Physical Count” button will list every tire in the tire inventory. They will be grouped by the type of tires based on the item code. Newly founded tires can be added or missing tires can be marked as “Lost”.
TIRE Reports
This report is broken down by warehouse and part numbers, and with the option of new or used tires, or both
The detail report will list each tire by serial number, cost, casing, condition and tread depth
This report prints a list of all the tires mounted in a unit by position together with date and the readings the tire was last updated
The user specifies a date range for this report, and optionally a list or a group of units
Based on the history of tread depth ware rate this report will forecast which mounted tires are expected to have to be replaced during the specified date range
