EMDECS has long had a deferred work component, where jobs can be associated with an equipment record and applied to a repair order as the work is eventually performed – and now with Tech RO, we’ve taken this a step further.
All outstanding work associated with a unit is now clearly visible – front and center as a matter of fact, when a unit is opened into Tech RO. The items in the Work Required area of the screen however are not necessarily just deferred work from a previous visit. The jobs could appear from a PM schedule or campaign – added by a supervisor from the EMDECS Service Board, or maybe added by the technician. The process flow allows a technician to open Tech RO and see at a glance jobs lined up for the piece of equipment.
Each job can be selected in real time as the work is performed on the equipment – this builds a repair order – and work not completed on that repair order will still be listed under Work Required the next time that unit is opened into Tech RO.
